Welcome back to the Flubs2Fixes Blog! The summer break got extended a little further than I originally intended, but I’m back now, and I hope you’re ready for another blog-season of exploring ways we can make our writing shine.
This year, the first Friday of each month will be open for anything to happen. Sometimes I might share an interview, sometimes links to resources I’ve found, or I’ll talk about some aspect of writing.
On the second Friday of each month, I’ve planned a blog series on reading. Not just “pick up a book and get lost in the story” reading, but reading to learn more about the craft of writing.
On the third Friday of the month, the Grammar Owl will be back with answers to grammar and word use questions. He’s flexing his wings and sharpening his talons. The Owl and I would love to hear from you if you have questions you’d like us to address. You can contact us at mail (at) flubs2fixes (dot) com — of course, change the at to @ and the dot to . and remove the spaces. You know the drill.
On the fourth Friday of the month, to supplement the blog series, I’ll post a book recommendation of some writing craft book that I’ve found particularly helpful. There are some fantastic books out there, and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you.
I hope you’ll come back next Friday as I begin the blog series with a look at why reading is important for writers.
